October is Pastor appreciation month so lets celebrate all of our wonderful Pastors on this blog.

Pastor Paul and Bruce are wonderful. Thank you for all of your phone calls, emails, and visits. We are blessed to have you both in our church.

Wasn't the snow beautiful today? The kids went crazy. By the time we got our boots and coats on, it stopped snowing. Thankfully, it started snowing again and the kids got to enjoy it a little.

I've been feeling pretty good. Just a little tired. Took a nap today and stayed home. It was really nice. Dad came over and took Jackson to the library, Lauren and I drew butterflies and ate cookies!

Last night we had a wonderful girls night out. It was so much fun. It was fun to laugh at ourselves and the silly things we did and wore in school. It was just what we needed, I think. It was funny, too, Dr. Nattam walked in while we were there...he didn't recognize me in my new wig! What a fright! I can't go into any details, but I will say the wig is a bit like Cher's hair--just a lighter color!!!!! It was fun though.
Hope to say many of you at the Fall Fest this weekend. Maybe even at the 5K or breakfast on Saturday morning?
Love, Becca

Beautiful Day

SWUMC News

Thank you for your encouraging comments and prayers. My spirits are about 500% better! (It didn't help that mother nature decided to visit!) Like Mary Beth said, at least that is some more normalcy in my life.

Woke up yesterday feeling pretty strong--decided to take the kids to the zoo. So after waking up my Dad to invite him at the last minute, we spent a wonderful morning in the sunshine at the zoo. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. We rode the log ride and train, watched them feed the sea lions and had a picnic lunch in the grass. GREAT THERAPY.
The only trouble I had yesterday was that I lost steam about the time I was to go to work. But a 20 minute nap helped that too. The GI trouble came Sunday night, too. I think that contributed to the weakness. But I took a couple Immodium and haven't had a lot of trouble since then.

My mouth sores are really trying to dominate me again! I have 4 of them now and my gums feel really funny. So I bring my "flask" of mouth wash with me every where I go. I think it is helping.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. We're having a girl's night out at Biaggis. A group of girls that we graduated with are meeting at Biaggi's. I think there will be 8 or 9 of us. I'm hoping I get to eat more than soup, although I imagine their soup is wonderful.

I'm keeping my head up. Your prayers are giving my His strength every second of every day.
Love, Becca
